The Center for Youth Ministry Training is pleased to announce that we have hired Margaret Ikard to serve as our Development Director. Margaret has a background in development working for many years as the Middle Tennessee Director for the American Diabetes Association. For the past several years, she has worked as a sales consultant for Etc. while raising a family. She grew up in the Nashville area and is a graduate of Tulane University. Margaret and her husband Matt have two children, Matthew and Eleanor. They are members of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
During our search process, Margaret stood out as someone who has the right gifts, skills, and personality for CYMT. Former board member Tricia Carswell, who is the Development Director for Furman University, participated in Margaret’s interview process. Tricia commented that “she has all the right gifts and tools. She is exactly what you are looking for!”
Margaret had this to say about joining the CYMT team:
I am thrilled to join the team at CYMT. Effective youth ministries are so critical in all of our communities. I look forward to using my skills to help CYMT raise funds to continue to train youth ministers and churches so that we may expand our positive impact on the lives of so many youth and their families.
Dietrich Kirk, CYMT’s Executive Director shared,
CYMT has God-sized dreams for impacting youth ministry across the country. Hiring a Development Director is an important step in accomplishing these goals. Margaret is the perfect person to implement our development plan. We are thrilled to have her on our team.
Look for more information from Margaret about CYMT’s development goals in the coming months.
